The venue was not desirable- noisy- difficult for all to hear. The topic was "city scapes". No photo was provided for reference for city scaped...We were supposed to look out the window while we were sitting in the back of the coffee shop. Fashion illustration was the focus of the class... interesting but not the topic of the class... It was a nice group of women- It would be nice for each attendee to offer a brief introduction of themselves for future connections if desired. (birds of a feather) ... Frankly, the class did not meet description or expectation...A refund is requested regretfully

Every opportunity I have to spend quality time with my daughter is incredibly special. During a discussion about evolving my artistic style and broadening my experience, Reilly suggested I focus on painting what brings me joy. Taking her advice, I used a photo of our dining table as my subject. Reilly loved the piece, and I shared with her that creating it made me truly happy.

Even though I now live in the Dallas suburb of Wylie, TX I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and spent many summers in the strawberry fields. This is an homage to the days I ate more berries than put into my berry flat. I still love strawberries, even now in my sunset years (I'm 73 y.o.). This piece is a 2.5 X 3.5 inch miniature acrylic painted on mixedmedia paper.

I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
