It was a relaxing morning, however, I signed up because this was supposed to be at the oak lawn Library. The Drip Coffee Shop is too noisy and the tables are too small for this type of class.

This painting is of two miniature ponies that Susana Nelson submitted to a reference Facebook page that I often get reference material from. According to Susana, their names are Flash and Trinket. Aren?t they just chocked full of personality. I doubt there is any mystery in that statement. Just look how they clamor to the fence for attention. I throw ve on paintings that are lighthearted and funny. They bring me so much joy. Acrylics on 10?x12? wood panel.

Wolves mate for life. They are this worlds true soulmates. This art was inspired by my amazing wife. I created it as a gift to her shortly after we were married. I met her about two years after I lost my girlfriend of ten years to cancer. She brought joy and love to my life. More than that, she made me believe in myself again. She challenges me, supports my ambition, and pushes me to be a better artist. She is my soulmate.

This picture suddenly came to me while I was sitting in my studio. I have had many conversations about growing up in Dallas with friends. Dallas was a dirty, dishonest and dangerous city historically. I?m 72 years old and so I?ve lived through dirty city streets, questionable speak easies, the murder of a President, and maiming of many lives?. People of color, natives, Irish and other imports. Downtown we had Pegasus on a building, and now a beautiful square with a place to rest. The horse
